How to enrol in a Smart and Skilled qualification?

As an approved provider, it is a requirement for us to notify the Department about applicant’s enrolment prior to the commencement of the training to check their eligibility and to obtain a quote for a mandatory student fee.

As a part of GBL’s Enrolment process, an applicant must complete the Smart and Skilled Application Form that is used to notify the Department. Applicants must also provide, on the same application form, a consent to use and disclosure of personal information to the Department of Education and Communities and other Government Agencies.

Courses are subject to eligibility and availability.

For more information, please contact the Student Support Team on (03) 9848 5742.

Deferral and Withdrawal

If a student wants to defer their studies, they must notify the Student Support Team in writing with a reason of Deferral.

A deferral can be permitted for up to 12 months only from the date of receipt of notice from the student.

Students who do not recommence their studies within 12 months, will be considered as Withdrawn.

The student fee will not be refunded in this case.

Deferred students who wish to continue in their studies after the 12 month period will be treated as new enrolment and student fee will be charged accordingly.

Unique Student Identification (USI):

From 1 January 2015 all students participating in Vocational Education and Training (VET) qualifications are required to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).
